The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ August 5, 1998, p. 12 & August 19, p. 14 Barbara H. Waters of Camarillo, California died August 3 in Wickenburg. She was 75. Mrs. Waters was born April 26, 1923 in Muenster, Texas. She had been a part-time resident of Arizona for eight years. Mrs. Waters graduated from Nacona High School in Nocona, Texas, and was married July 16, 1943. She attended Texas College for Women, majoring in Home Economics and Chemistry. She traveled extensively with her husband, making it around the world once. Mrs. Waters enjoyed sewing and was also a gourmet cook. She was very close to her children and grandchildren. She relocated to Arizona due to heath reasons in 1990 but never gave up her California home, which she traveled back to for four to five months a year. Ms. Waters was a member of the Naval Officers Wives Club and a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Camarillo. Survivors include her husband, Nathan F. Waters, of Camarillo; son and daughter-in-law Deskin D. and Susan Waters of Twin Falls, Idaho; son and daughter-in-law Donovan D. and Claudia Waters of Phoenix; daughters C. Deanna Owens of Camarillo and Deborah D. Waters of Sacramento, California; grandchildren Joshua and Matthew Owens, Amanda and Samuel Waters, and Melissa Forsythe; and her sister, Cornelia Crawford, of Wichita Falls, Texas. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 6 from 2-4 p.m. and Friday, August 7 from noon to 1 p.m. at the Pierce Brothers Griffin Mortuary in Camarillo. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, August 7 at Pierce Brothers Griffin Mortuary in Camarillo, California with Associate Pastor Scott Parker officiating. Internment is at Conejo Mountain Memorial Park.
