LANDIS, Roland (Bud), Jr.

The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ September 2, p. 18 Roland “Bud” Landis, Jr. of Prescott and a former Wickenburg resident, died August 28 in Prescott. He was 72. Mr. Landis was born October 22, 1925 in Camden, New Jersey to Roland and Marion (Lockhardt) Landis, Sr. He was a decorated U.S. Army veteran of World War II, receiving two Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; four daughters, Diana M. Landis of Escondido, California, Cynthia K. Landis of Nashville, Tennessee, Anita J. Rankin of Phoenix and Jennifer M. Clukey of Cary, North Carolina; step-sons Ronald W. Ertman and Mark J. Ertman, both of Ramona, California; step-daughter Janet K. Downer of San Diego, California; three brothers, John Landis of Escondido, Eugene Landis of Medford, New Jersey and Kenneth Landis of Clayton, New Jersey; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Interment with full military honors will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday, September 4 in the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix.
