The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ October 7, 1998, p. 18 Marie E. Seifert of Wickenburg died October 1 in Wickenburg. She was 91. Mrs. Seifert was born January 31, 1907 in Ruma, Yugoslavia. She had lived in Arizona for 30 years after moving from Ohio. A homemaker, Mrs. Seifert and her husband Steve renewed their wedding vows in Yarnell after 50 years. On their 50th anniversary with Steve, she enjoyed going to Hawaii and enjoyed traveling when the opportunity existed. She was raised in Cleveland, Ohio, loved to cook and bake, entertain, crochet and doing things for others. She was a member of the Litchfield Grande in Ohio for many years. She moved from Cleveland to Litchfield, lived there many years, moved to Yarnell in 1968 and the moved to Wickenburg. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law Louise and Vernon Cash of Wickenburg; grandson Nick Tabar of Wickenburg; grandson and wife Mark and Jill Tabar of Gilbert; great-grandchildren Aaron, Alex and Ashlyn Tabar of Gilbert; and sister Jennie Ehlert of Amherst, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband Steve and son Steve Jr., and sister, Kathryn Markus. Visitation was conducted at 6 p.m. Friday, October 2, followed by a Rosary at 7 p.m. at the St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Wickenburg. A funeral mass was held at 8 a.m. Saturday, October 3 at St. Anthony of Padua, with Father John Vogt officiating. Interment will be at the Wickenburg Cemetery. Brown’s Wickenburg Funeral Home handled all the arrangements.
