FARLEY, Floyd A.


The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ November 4, 1998, p. 18 Floyd A. Farley of Aguila died October 28 in Aguila. He was 61. Mr. Farley was born October 27, 1937 in Coldwell, Idaho and had lived in Arizona for 10 years. Floyd and his family moved to Arizona from Oregon in 1988. He graduated from the Oregon State Police Academy and served as Chief of Police in Oregon before moving to Arizona. He also worked as a cross-country truck driver and most recently a mining process consultant. Survivors include his wife Blanche Farley of Aguila; daughter Angela Forwood, Commander of the United States Navy Reserve in England; sons Douglas Farely of Oregon and Leslie Farley of Gila Bend; brothers Alva Farley of Oregon, Dean Farley Idaho, Dale Farley of the Philippine Islands, and Gordon Farely of Oregon; sisters Bonnie Gause of Washington and Marian Curtis of California; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Floyd was preceded in death by his brothers Everett and Earl Farley. Visitation was held from 9-11 a.m. Tuesday, November 3 at the Frey Funeral Home. Graveside funeral services followed visitation at the Eagle Eye Cemetery on Eagle Eye Road in Aguila. Pastor Wessling officiated. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to a favorite charity. Frey Funeral Home and Cremation Service at 980 N. Tegner St. in Wickenburg handled all the arrangements.
