The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ November 18, 1998, p. 18 & Nov. 25, p. 20 George Knighton of Aguila died November 17 in Phoenix. He was 43. Mr. Knighton was born July 3, 1955 in Sacramento, California and had lived in Arizona for 22 years, coming from California. Mr. Knighton was a member of the Wickenburg Elks Lodge 2160 and the Sons of the American Legion Post 12 of Wickenburg. He had been plant manager at Benner-Nawman, Inc. of Wickenburg since 1979. Survivors include his wife Ronni, mother Virginia Schritter; daughters Debra Hayden and Christina Potter; son Timmy Knighton; brothers, Jim and Paul Knighton and Frank and Sam Austin; sisters, Susan Mullins and Jinny Knighton; nieces and nephews Robie Dartim, Carrie Austin, Chris Austin, Susie Austin, Jeffery Austin, Amanda Knight, Chelsea Knighton, Brittany Knighton, Rebecca Chandler and Ikie chandler. Services for Mr. Knighton were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, November 19 at Benner-Nawman, Inc. 3232 Sabin Brown Road, in Wickenburg, with Pastor Mike Abdollahzaheh officiating. The family would like to send special thanks to the family of Benner-Nawman, Inc., Aguila Fire Department, Wickenburg Ambulance Service, the staff of St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix; and all family and friends.
