Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Published Tuesday, March 29, 2011 - Veronica “Ronnie” Husson passed away March 19, 2011, in Lake Havasu City at the age of 90. She was born to Harold and Katherine (Lane) Johnson Sept. 16, 1920, in Jersey City, N.J. Ronnie married her beloved husband, Frank, Nov. 26, 1938, and together they made California their home in 1954, living in Mission Viejo from 1970 until his passing in 1992. In 1955, Ronnie worked for McDonnell Douglas, starting out as a riveter on jet engines and retiring as an admin to the engineers after 20 years. Ronnie then made Lake Havasu her home in 1999. Ronnie and Frank danced with the “Jolly Mixers Square Dance Club” for 25 years. She loved to crochet and do crafts of all kinds. She was an avid sewer and really enjoyed her Thursdays with her quilting group from the church. Ronnie donated her time to the food bank right up until she couldn’t lift the boxes anymore. But she especially loved spending time with family and friends. Ronnie leaves behind her beloved family; daughters, Pat (Lee) Ruecker, Denise (Craig) Hardy; sons, Frank A. (Betty) Husson and Ronald Husson; sister, Agnes Taylor, of New Jersey; grandchildren, Rene, Dawn, Valarie, Brenda, Melissa, Jim, Matt, Heather, Shannon, Cathy, Todd, Randy and Danielle; great-grandchildren, Derek C., Drew, Samantha B., Jessica, Kendall, Jeremy H., Shaylan, Mark, Samantha H., Trevor, Larissa, Jeremy D., Sarah, Nathan, Ryley, Derek D. and John; great-great grandchildren Dorian, Audrey and Logan, and many nieces and nephews. Ronnie was preceded in death by her son, Wayne Husson, in 1990 and brother, Bart Lane, in 1989. Memorial services will be Saturday, 11 a.m., at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church. Words of comfort and inspiration will be offered by Pastor Matthew March. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Ronnie’s memory to Mt.
