SIMPSON, Elizabeth


The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ November 25, 1998, p. 20 Elizabeth Simpson of Prescott died November 18 in Prescott. She was 93. Mrs. Simpson was born September 23, 1905 in Yucaipa, California and had lived in Arizona for 50 years. She was a charter member of the Calvary Baptist Church and was very active in activities of the church. Some of those activities included teaching Sunday school, Flora Committee and the White Cross program. Prior to moving to Wickenburg in the 1940’s, Elzbeth resided in Sharon Springs, Kansas and was a very active “ranch wife.” She was an avid homemaker and devoted to her family. Survivors include her son Edward of Yarnell; sisters, Lavon Cooper and Genevia Croswell; grandchildren Bill, Jim and Paul Simpson; and great-grandchildren Cindy, Jim, Malissa and Cody Simpson. She was pre-deceased by her husband Dolf and oldest son Fred. A memorial service will be held Friday, November 27 at 2 p.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church in Wickenburg with Pastor Gary Golike officiating. Interment will be at the Wickenburg Municipal Cemetery. Brown’s Wickenburg Funeral Home handled all the arrangements.
