Thomas McKenna
Mass and the Christian burial were conducted Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Ireanus Church in Clinton, Iowa, for 77-year-old Thomas “Harold” McKenna who died in that city on Feb. 25. He had been a resident of Wickenburg and Congress from 1871-79. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery, also in Clinton.
He was born Aug. 10, 1906 to Nellie and James McKenna in Chicago. As a young man he was active in the Boy Scouts of America, both as a scout and a leader for many years.
He is survived by three sons, Thomas, of Congress; Robert, of Decatur, Ill., and Harold, of Clinton; four daughters, Mrs. Ernest C. (Genevive) Schwarz, Mrs. Guillermo (Marie) Lieso, Mrs. Donald (Ma Donna) Waddell and Virginia Powell, all of Clinton; 19 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, a brother, James, of Trenton, N.J.; sisters, Lucille and Eileen, and a brother, Arthur, all of Clinton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife in 1942, a brother, one grandchild and one great-grandchild.
