Alice Frances Andrews passed away on June 27, 2003.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Gilbert Andrews, her daughter, Kathryn Underwood, and her two grandchildren, Sarah and Alexander- Underwood.
Alice was born to Anna and Frank Traznik in Chicago, Illinois on January 18, 1925. She grew up in Berwyn and Oak Park, Illinois.
In 1945, she received a Bachelor's degree from the University of Chicago. She was also one of five women to receive a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Chicago Law School in 1948. While there, she was a member of The University of Chicago Law Review.
In 1948, Alice and Gil married and moved to Washington, D.C. Alice spent her distinguished legal career as an appellate attorney for the National Labor Relations Board.
In 1993, Alice and Gil moved to Tempe, Arizona. Alice was a wonderful person, a faithful wife, and a devoted parent and grandparent.
She loved dogs, novels, travel, card games, and crossword puzzles.
