STETTMEIER, Karl-Alex Erik
Karl-Alex Erik Stettmeier, 60, of Phoenix, died on February 13, 2004. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving two tours of duty in Vietnam (1st Air Calvary Division). He was awarded the Army Commendation Medal, Multiple Air medals, Bronze Star, two Purple Hearts & the Distinguished Flying Cross. He was a helicopter pilot for 30 years flying around the world. He raced cars in the ASRA Sports Car Club.
He is survived by his wife Elayne, sons Darrell (Julie) & Randy, mother Dia, sister Lissa, brothers Erik (Mary), Randall (Judy) & Alois, grandchildren Matthew & Lucas. Graveside services with Honors were held at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, Cave Creek & Pinnacle Peak Roads. Contributions can be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E.
