Black's Mortuary, Show Low, Arizona Helen Beeler (September 3, 1914 - March 30, 2011) Helen C. Beeler, 96, of Lakeside, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2011. She was born September 3, 1914, in Fruitland, TX, to James and Elma (Harbour) Proctor. She was raised on a farm in Yuma. She was married to Clarence J. Beeler in 1932. He preceded her in death in 2004. She had worked as a nurse for several doctors in Yuma and Phoenix before coming to Lakeside in 1982. She was a Life Member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Post 2364 in Pinetop/Lakeside, and had been named as Chaplain of the Year. She had many friends and family, and was loved by all. Survivors include two sons, John M. Beeler of Lakeside and Richard M. Beeler and wife Karen of Lakeside; two daughters, Sharon Fever of Fridley, MN and Debbie McReynolds of Phoenix; 11 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 72 years, Clarence. Services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, April 23, at Lakeside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice Compassus.
