CLAWSON, Mary Ellen


The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ May 10, 1984, p. 18 Mary Ellen Clawson, 73, died on May 4 at Boswell Memorial Hospital in Sun City. She was a resident of Arizona for 35 years, but was born in Sidney, Ohio, on June 21, 1910. Clawson was the wife of the late William Clawson, who was assistant chief of police in Wickenburg for many years. They moved to Wickenburg in 1947 and she worked as a waitress for several years at Ted's Cafe, the building now occupied by Desert Sun Realty. She is survived by her daughter, Annette Baker, of Prescott, and June Alantz, of Highlands, Calif., and four grandchildren. The service was at 3 p.m. at the Wickenburg Funeral Home on May. Pastor Robin Houghton of the Seventh-day Adventist officiated. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Arizona Kidney Foundation.
