Bonnie Faye Hubbard (Thurber), 68, passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2011, in Lake Havasu City. She was born on March 24, 1943, in Yorba Linda, Calif.
Bonnie was loved by so many, and she played the role of mom and grandma to many individuals over the years. She was a fantastic, loving person who would light up the room with her personality and beautiful smile. She was known for her love of Yorkie dogs. Bonnie was a retired dental hygienist. She ran Orvs Forrest here in town for her parents, Bonnie and Orv Nofkee until it closed in 1995. She owned Bonnie's Nursery and Dreamscape Nursery prior to retiring in 1997. From there, she bred Yorkie dogs and became the World’s Best Grandma to Laura Hertzen. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
Bonnie is survived by her son, Mark Hubbard, 34, of Lake Havasu City; daughter, Mindy Hertzen (Hubbard), 32, a native of Lake Havasu City; son, Robert Alvey, 38, of Apple Valley, Calif.; granddaughter, Laura Hertzen, 13, of Lake Havasu City.
A Celebration of Bonnie's life will be held on Sunday, April 17, 2011, at 2 p.m. at a local residence in Lake Havasu City. For information, call or text Mindy at 928-566-5099. Contributions to help the family pay for funeral expenses can be made in Bonnie's name to Mindy Hertzen.
