COMPTON, John Roger

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Wednesday, July 2, 2003 Mr. John Roger Compton was born May 15, 1923 and passed away June 27, 2003. Mr. Compton was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio and has lived in Prescott Valley, Arizona for the past 18 years. He had a long - and successful career in the banking industry. Mr. Compton moved to Arizona in 1965 to start the credit card department at the Valley National Bank. Mr. Compton was also a member of the Lions Club. John is survived by his wife Mildred Compton of Prescott Valley; his children Judy Sutter, Karen Henry and Alan Young; his sisters Nancy Prouty, Priscilla Compton and Josephine Brown. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. John will always be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and zest for life. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Services will be held Thursday, July 3rd at Greenwood Memory Lawn Serenity Chapel at 10:30 AM with Visitation one hour prior at 719 N. 27th Ave. In lieu of flowers please send donations to American Diabetes Association at 2328 W.
