The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ July 26, 1984, p. 12 Francis E. Gilbert, 62, of Wickenburg, died July 18 in the Veterans Administration Hospital in Phoenix. Born Jan. 30, 1922, in Springfield, Ill., Gilbert had lived in Arizona for 15 years. He was in the Army Air Corp and served in the Pacific during World War II. He is survived by his wife, Doris Gilbert, of Wickenburg; two daughters, Dianne Gray and Sandra Cox, both of Wickenburg; his mother, Clara Gilbert, of Springfield; one son, Thomas Cox, of Sacramento, Calif.; two sisters, Vivian Watkins, of Kilbourne, Ill., and Gay Daniels, of Springfield and two grandchildren living in Wickenburg. There was a graveside service on July 23 at 10 a.m. and interment followed in the Wickenburg Cemetery. Rev. Terry Finley of the Assemble of God Church officiated and a visitation preceded the service in the Wickenburg Funeral Home Chapel on July 22 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
