The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ November 29, 1984, p. 18 Joseph U. Wurth, 88, of Wickenburg, died Nov. 20 in Wickenburg Community Hospital. A resident of Arizona for 64 years, Wurth was born Nov. 4, 1896, in Paducah, Ky. Wurth was a World War II veteran and was retired from the United States Postal Service. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Parish in Phoenix for 40 years. He moved to Wickenburg in 1983 and resided in My Father’s House, a local retirement ranch. Survivors include his wife, Rose Marie, a son, Bob, of Wickenburg; six grandchildren, Michael, James, Jennifer, Philip, Gregory and Anne. He is also survived by two sisters, Rosemary and Mabel and two brothers, Leo and John. Services were Nov. 26, at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church with Father Thomas E. Boyle officiating. Visitation was Nov. 25 at 6 p.m. in the Wickenburg Funeral Home. Burial was in the St. Francis Cemetery in Phoenix.
