Roland Rene F. Brunelle, 75, of Wickenburg, died Nov. 26 in St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix.
Brunelle was born in Holyoke, Mass., on Oct. 2 1909.
A resident of Woonsocket, R. I. for many years, Brunelle worked as a new construction painter and moved to Phoenix in 1955 to work with Pete King, a contracting firm used on the Del Webb Sun City housing projects.
A resident of Phoenix for 22 years, Brunelle retired from painting and moved to Wickenburg.
He is survived by his wife, Cecile Brunelle, of Wickenburg; four sons, Leon Brunelle, of Maine, Roger Brunelle, of Wickenburg and Bob and Paul Brunelle, of Phoenix and three daughters, Madeline Brophy, of Prescott, Pauline Pope and Monique Manning, both of Wickenburg. He is also survived by one sister, Jean Lamothe, of Benton City, Wash.; 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three sons.
A memorial mass was conducted on Dec. 1 at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Phoenix, Representing Wickenburg’s St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church, Father David Sharp blessed the remains before they were scattered over the hills around Wickenburg.
