The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ February 3, 1999, p. 18 Catherine Goodrich Bromm, 95 passed away on January 25. The daughter of Phineas and Ellen Goodrich, she was born in Saginaw, Michigan on October 7, 1903. She graduated from Saginaw High School in 1921 and went to New York to study with Vestoff and Serova at the School of American Ballet. She opened a dance studio in Saginaw which she continued for many years. She choreographed and directed dance numbers for Saginaw High and Arthur Hill’s springs musicals and held dance classes at the YWCA and in Bay City and Frankenmuth after closing her studio. Mrs. Bromm was an avid golfer and served as president of the Women’s Golf Association at the Saginaw Country Club. She was one of the organizers of the 50th reunion of Saginaw High School Class of 1921, a group which continued to meet or correspond for 20 years. Mrs. Bromm was a hospital auxiliary member and an active member of St. John’s Episcopal Church. She and her husband Carl G. Bromm moved to Leisure World in Laguna Hills, California, where he passed away in 1985. She was a member of a folk dance group in Leisure World, which performed throughout Orange County. She last danced at her 90th birthday gala. Mrs. Bromm is survived by her children (and their spouses) Joanne (Marcel) Payan of Arcadia, California, Jerry (Carol) Bromm of Wickenburg, and Mary (Robert) Rence of San Clemente, California; sister Helen O’Neil (James) Mortimore of Huntington Beach, California; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Burial was in Corona Del Mar, California.
