Lillian Lorene McGuffin, born in Gainesville, Texas, on March 30, 1910 passed away on February 22 at the Wickenburg Extended Care Center. She was 88.
Mrs. McGuffin was married to E.L. “Mac” McGuffin in 1936. They moved to Wickenburg in 1952, at which time Mr. McGuffin established McGuffin Plumbing Co., which he operated for 20 years. Mrs. McGuffin worked with him in the business, doing the bookkeeping.
Mrs. McGuffin was active in the Soroptimist Club for several years. She also was a past member of the hospital auxiliary. She volunteered at the Desert Caballeros Western Museum, and in recent years volunteered at the Vulture Peak School library, repairing damaged books.
She is survived by her sons A.D. “Pete” McGuffin and Jim McGuffin; daughter Romelle Costanzi, and daughter of the heart Peggy McGuffin; 15 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
Services were held at Brown’s Wickenburg Funeral Home, and burial was in the Wickenburg Cemetery.
