Valentine “Johnny” Smith of Garden City died February 20 at the VA Hospital in Phoenix.  He was 84.  

Mr. Valentine is survived by his niece Socheia Eve Budreaux, who had been his caretaker for many years.

Graveside services have been held at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Phoenix.
