Betty Jane White, a homemaker, died February 21 in Sun City following a short illness.  She was 82.  Mrs. White was born March 27, 1916 in Flagstaff to Elzie and Kathryn (Ormond) Wheat and had lived in Arizona most of her life.  In addition to Flagstaff, she had resided in Phoenix, Wickenburg and most recently in Prescott.
 
Survivors include son Lewis of Tempe; daughter Suzanne Pfingstag of Wickenburg; grandchildren Cynthia Logan, John White, Pamela Rehfeldt, and Cheryl White; and great-grandchildren Spencer Logan and Nathan Rehfeldt.  Mrs. White was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Harold A. “Luke” White on August 24, 1998.

Private family services will be held in Wickenburg.
