The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ March 17, 1999, p. 16 John Henry Layer of Wickenburg, died March 10 in Phoenix. He was 62. Mr. Layer was born March 31, 1936 in Columbus, Ohio. He had lived in Arizona for the past eight years, coming from California. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy, of Phoenix; sons Michael W. of Phoenix and William S. of Gordon, Georgia; daughter-in-laws Kaylene C. and Dorene M. Layer; sister Marilyn Layer; grandchildren Adam Call of Phoenix, Jacob Mathew of San Bernardino, California and Christina R. Layer of Gordon; and step-mother Gladys Layer of Salem, Oregon. Services have been held.
