Norma M. Henderson of Paradise Valley passed away March 17. She was 61. Norma was born and raised in the small town of Mitchell in Southern Indiana.
She was married at 17 to Thomas A. Henderson, a lifelong member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. They had two sons, Mike and Mark, both also being members of the IBEW. Throughout her life, Norma enjoyed traveling, dollar slot machines, trips to Nashville, Tennessee and Indiana. She also enjoyed songs by Merle Haggard and rainy days. Her heart and soul were like the mustang she loved to drive, and was known to be the “coolest” grandma of all.
Norma, wife, fiancé, mom, grandma, sister and friend…the many titles that she held, although she may be gone from us in body, her spirit will always be with us throughout the days of our lives. Thanks for being there, mom.
She was engaged to Jim Propes and was looking forward to being remarried.
Survivors include her son Mark of Phoenix; fiancé Jim Propes of Phoenix; grandchildren Justin, Jenna, Leanna and Tyler; brothers Frank and Warren; sisters Genny and Nenny; two very close sisters-in-law Shirley and Brenda; nephew Steve; and a multitude of friends, nieces and nephews.
