The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ April 7, 1999, p. 17 Ted R. Mayer, 74, died April 1 at his home in Wickenburg following a seven-year illness. Mr. Mayer was born January 2, 1925 in Washington County, Iowa, the son of G. H. Mayer and Cecille Hotle Mayer. He graduated from White Oak and West Chester schools in rural Washington County and attended Oklahoma A&M College in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Mr. Mayer served as a 2nd Lt. in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He was married to Frances Marie Wright of Keota, Iowa, on November, 1944 in Washington, Iowa. Ted worked in the electronics precision metals business most of his adult life, running his own shop for a number of years and as a manufacturing engineer for StorageTek in Louisville, Colorado, when he retired in 1987. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Frances of Wickenburg; children Barbara Eatmon (husband Bob) of Broomfield, Colorado, Phil Mayer (wife Carmen) of Thornton, Colorado and Robin Nettesheim (husband James) of Greeley, Colorado; grandsons Mitch and Clint Eatmon, Derek Mayer, and Adam and Tom Nettesheim; granddaughter Channing Eatmon; great-granddaughter Mandi Eatmon, all of Colorado; sister Marlene Havel of Grundy Center, Iowa; brothers Lester Mayer of Mobile, Alabama and Roger Mayer of Hiawatha, Iowa; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held in Broomfield, Colorado, at a later date. A cremation was conducted. Remembrances may be sent to Ghost Ranch, Presbyterian Conference Center, HC77, P.O.
