Kenneth “Wayne” Follmar of Congress died April 7 in Congress. He was 65. Mr. Follmar was born March 22, 1914 in Phoenix, and had lived in Arizona his entire life.
He was a South American Missionary and Bible translator for more than 30 years and was most recently Pastor of the Grace Bible Church in Congress.
A true man of God, Mr. Follmar held firm to his convictions, having no desire for earthly gain. His Christian ministry has touched the lives of many throughout the years. He was a well-loved father of five, a grandfather of eight and Shepherd and friend of many.
Quoting from Matthew 25:21 (NKJV), His Lord said to him, “Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your Lord.” Glory Be to God, creator of Heaven and Earth forevermore.
Mr. Follmar is survived by his wife Bonnie; daughters Beth Talley of Phoenix, Gail Pokorny of Paris, France, and Carol Follmar of Phoenix; sons Allan Follmar of Paris, France, and Bryan Follmar of Phoenix; brothers Ted of St. Louis, Dale of Phoenix and Bert of Wickenburg and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 10 at the Calvary Baptist Church in Wickenburg. Pastor Gary Golike officiated. Interment is at the Wickenburg Cemetery.
