The Lord decided this was the day John was going to be with Him. John left behind four children, Kathy Stewart (Joe), Susan Hood, Nancy Kelly (Ric) and L. John Hood Jr. (Lisa). He had 11 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. He was a brother to Elizabeth Holmes, Carol Knudson, Joan Gardner, Charles R. Hood and Martha (Bobby) Schaefle. John had multiple nieces and nephews. There were many interests John Hood had, including racing cars in his younger years; he was a Lion for many years, dedicating time to those in need. He helped start YEI as his daughter Susie was of special needs. He loved the outdoors, camping, fishing and hunting. He loved cooking special meals, but really enjoyed having a good BBQ with family and friends. He appreciated his fruit trees and flowers, had birdfeeders up for the finches and whatever was attracted to those feeders. He could tell a story with the best of them. John is missed by all and has left a huge void in our hearts. A celebration of life took place at his daughter Kathy's home.
