Roy Haggett of Wickenburg died May 27 in Wickenburg. He was 54. Mr. Haggett was born September 4, 1944 in East Montpelier, Vermont and had lived in Arizona for five years, coming from Vermont.
He was a self-employed welder and a licensed Air Frame and Power Plant Mechanic and also was an Air Force Veteran.
Roy loved flying, fishing and loved the outdoors and in general and is known in the Wickenburg area for his workmanship on airplanes.
A better friend no one ever had. He is loved by his many friends and will be missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Harriet of Wickenburg; son and daughter-in-law Shannon and Melissa Haggett of Vergennes, Vermont; son Jason Haggett of Burlington, Vermont; brothers Chester of Montpelier, Vermont, Frank of Worchester, Vermont and Clifton of Barre, Vermont; sisters Velmar Houghton of Cabot, Vermont and Rachel Godin of Rochester, New York; grandchild Siobhan Haggett of Vergennes, Vermont; and numerous nieces and nephews, including Alice and Butch Bussino of Wickenburg.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 3 at 10 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Wickenburg, with Pastor James Longstreet officiating.
Contributions may be made in Mr. Haggett’s name to the charity of one’s choice.
Frey Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Wickenburg handled all the arrangements.
