Dorothy Mae Thompson, beloved wife of Weldon L. Thompson and beloved mother of Thron Thompson Stadleman of Portland, Oregon and Ty W. Thompson of Wickenburg, passed away suddenly early Thursday morning, June 10 at the Mayo Hospital in Scottsdale, Arizona after a lingering lung disease.  She was 73.

Mrs. Thompson was born March 31, 1926 in Flushing, Michigan and then married Weldon Thompson on April 11, 1947 and moved to Traverse City, Michigan where they remained until their retirement in 1981.  After traveling for several years, they moved to Wickenburg, where they celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary.

Private services are planned.  Memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Thompson’s name to the Arizona Lung Association, 102 W. McDowell Road, Phoenix, AZ 85003.

Frey Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Wickenburg handled the arrangements.
