STOTT, Catherine (Cappe)

The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ July 7, 1999, p. 12 Catherine “Cappe” Searles Stott died July 1, 1999 at her home in Wickenburg. She was 79. Mrs. Stott was born April 30, 1920 in New York City. She was raised in Rahway, New Jersey and Lake Placid, New York. In 1948, she married Robert Doulton Stott of Santa Barbara, California. He passed away in 1965. She was a resident of Lake Placid until 1984, when she moved to Arizona. Survivors include her son Robert Doulton Stott Jr. of Grand Junction, Colorado; daughter Deborah S. Stasi of Red Bank, New Jersey; and granddaughters Marly and Laura Stasi of Red Bank. It was her final wish that she be returned to the Adirondacks. She will be remembered for her strong will, sense of humor and style. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, July 10 at Frey Funeral Home. Contributions may be made in Mrs. Stott’s name to the American Red Cross, 255 N. Washington St., Wickenburg, AZ 85390. Frey Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Wickenburg handled the arrangements.
