The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ October 13, 1999, p. 16 & Oct. 27, p. 3 Edward S. Roberts of Wickenburg died October 6 in Sun City. He was 70. Mr. Roberts was born August 5, 1929 in Wolf Lake, Illinois. He had lived in Arizona for the past three years. Mr. Roberts was retired from Winmar of the Desert (Desert Island Country Club) engineering department in Rancho Mirage, California in 1992. Survivors include his mother, Dona Gregory of Irving, Texas; sisters Barbara Boyd of Wickenburg, Sue Dilda of Balch Springs, Texas and Anita Vinson of Irving; nieces Patty Gasper of Golden, Colorado and Toni Pickens of Fletcher, Oklahoma; and nephews Tom Andreas of Wickenburg and Gary Boyd of Centralia, Illinois. A memorial mass will be held Saturday, October 30 at 9 a.m. at St. Anthony’s of Padua Catholic Church in Wickenburg, with Father David Kelash officiating. Contributions may be made to Sun Health Hospice Care Services and Residence at 12740 N. Plaza del Rio Blvd., Peoria, AZ 85351. Frey Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Wickenburg handled the arrangements.
