WALKER, DeHart (Dixie)

The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ October 13, 1999, p. 16 & Nov. 3, p. 18 DeHart “Dixie” Walker of Wickenburg died October 6 at the Wickenburg Regional Hospital. He was 87. Mr. Walker was born May 5, 1912 in Silver Creek, New York. He had lived in Arizona for the past 24 years. Dixie was a member of the U.S. Navy, Masonic Lodge, Wickenburg Lions Club, the Radio Control Airplane Club and had been employed by Jones Ford and Bromm Chevrolet as a driver. He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy C. Walker on December 25, 1993 and his father and mother Fredrick and Minnie Schreck of Silver Creek, New York. A private burial will be conducted on Friday (Nov. 5) in Silver Creek, New York. Contributions may be made to the Wickenburg Lions Club “Sight and Hearing” at P.O. Box 1687, Wickenburg, AZ 85358.
