Louis P. Perea Sr., 59, died Sunday, April 3, 2011, at Havasu Regional Medical Center in Lake Havasu City.
Mr. Perea was born Jan. 5, 1952, in Winslow. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with his sons. He also enjoyed going to the casino and loved spending time with his grandkids. He was always going above and beyond his call of duty helping others in their time of need, whether it was family, friends or strangers. He never hesitated or thought twice about helping others. In any situation, he always had words of wisdom.
Mr. Perea is survived by his wife, Patty Perea, of Parker; children Rachel Cook (Robert) of Phoenix, Louis (Kandi) Perea Jr. of Phoenix, Charles Perea of Show Low, Robert Perea of Denison, Iowa, and Pumpkyn Perea of Parker; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tony Perea and Mary Lucero; and grandparents Ora and Bonifacio Lovato and Abelina and Flora Perea.
Services will be Friday, with Holy Rosary recited at 9:30 a.m. and Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Winslow, with celebrant Father Lawrence O'Keefe. Interment will follow at Desert View Cemetery. Condolences can be sent to the family at www.greersmortuary.com.
