NELSON, Rossa Blanche

The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ November 10, 1999, p. 10 Rossa Blanche Nelson, 94, of Congress, a retired officer of the Valley National Bank, died November 6, 1999. She was born in Redlands, California on November 28, 1904. Her parents brought her to Phoenix in March of 1905. She attended Phoenix Union High School and Phoenix College. She married Virgil R. Nelson on her birthday in 1923 and retired from Valley Bank in 1960. She had resided in Congress since 1969 and was active in community affairs, including librarian of the Congress Public Library and secretary/treasurer for the Congress Fire Department, for a number of years. A graveside service will be held Thursday (Nov. 11) at 10 a.m. at the Green Acres Cemetery, 401 N. Hayden Rd. in Scottsdale. A memorial service will be held for family and friends at 3 p.m. (Nov. 13) in the Congress Fire Station.
