The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Thursday, July 3, 2003 Cecilia Kuzmin died June 5, 2003 in Peoria, Arizona. She was 87, born in Brooklyn, New York. Ever-smiling and giving wonderful words of wisdom to all around her, she will be missed by many who knew her. She was married for 58 years to her sweetheart and hero Vladimir who passed on at 90 in 1999. For 11 years she nursed him as he suffered with Parkinson's Disease. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Johnson of Glendale, Arizona, Lori Hughes of Smyrna, Tennessee, Michael Kuzmin of Glendale, Arizona, Anna Pepe of Harrison, New York and Peter Kuzmin of Mesa, Arizona. She has 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. A celebration of her life will be held at a funeral Mass at St. Raphael's Catholic Church at 5525 Acoma Drive, Glendale, Arizona on Saturday, July 5, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. Contributions may be made in her memory to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation.
