He has lived in Arizona for almost 50 years, coming here in 1948 from Pennsylvania. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary of Wickenburg; grandchildren Shari Hester and Doug Butler of Selmer, Tenn.; great-grandchildren David Holt, Matthew Hester, and Lain and Tate Butler, all of Selmer ; and sister Martha Harden, Florida. Mr. Butler was a member of the Wickenburg Police Department from 1961 to 1972. He joined the Masons in Pittsburgh and has been a member for 50 years. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary of Wickenburg; grandchildren Shari Hester and Doug Butler of Selmer, Tenn.; great-grandchildren David Holt, Matthew Hester, and Lain and Tate Butler, all of Selmer ; and sister Martha Harden, Florida. He was preceded in death by a son, Ralph Kent Butler, who was a Maricopa County Sheriff’s officer. There were no services. Frey Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Wickenburg handled all the arrangements.
