William Sponsler Rheem III, of Prescott, died May 26 at his home in Prescott. He was 52.
Mr. Rheem was born June 3, 1944 in Oakland, Calif. He had lived in Arizona for the past 24 years, moving from California in 1973.
Mr. Rheem was a mill operator at Cyprus Bagad Copper Mine in Bagdad for many years. Mr. Rheem was the grandson of Richard S. Rheem, the founder of Rheems Manufacturing, one of the worlds largest manufactures of water heater and heating/air conditioning equipment.
Survivors include his former wife Susan; son Darren G. Rheem, both of Prescott; brothers Richard Scofield II and Stephen R. Fox, both of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Donald L. Rheem of Potomac, Md.; and sister, Candace Howe of Richmond, Va.
