YATES, Willis Burnell

The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ June 4, 1997 Willis Burnell Yates of Merced County, Calif. and a former winter resident of Wickenburg, died May 7 in a Merced hospital. He was 60. Mr. Yates was born March 9, 1937 in Denver, Colo. In recent years as a winter resident of Wickenburg, he worked for Wickenburg Concrete and Materials. Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Virginia, of Winton, Calif.; a daughter, Tracy Yates of Steamboat Springs, Colo.; his mother, Helen Yates of Merced, Calif.; two sisters, Audrey Scott of Portland, Ore. And Meredith Hayes of Redmond, Ore.; and a brother, Miles Yates of Selah, Wash. He was preceded in death by his father, Gwynne Yates, in 1967. Services have been held in Merced, Calif.
