The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ June 11, 1997 Theodore W. “Ted’ Razee of Congress, died June 16 in Congress. He was 70. Mr. Razee was born Feb. 6, 1927 in Phoenix. He was a life long resident of Arizona. Survivors include his daughters, Bobbie Perez of Fayetteville, Ark., Billie Joe Appleton of Boring, Ore., and Donna Lee Sanders of Piggot, Ark; sister Maxine Carter of Tucson; brother Leon Razee of Prescott, step-children Tony Settle of Florida, Corbie Ann Alt of Yearnell and Lorraine Osario of Californina; grandchildren Justin Sanders of Piggot, Danielle Appleton of Boring, Traci Mabe of Wickenburg and Scott Anderson of Wickenburg; sister-in-law and husband Pat and Jim Fisher in Congress. Visitaion will be from 9-10 a.m. Friday, June 20 at the LDS Church of Wickenburg. Funeral Services will follow at 10 a.m. in the church, with graveside services to follow at the Congress Cemetery. Bishop Max Colgrove will officiate. He was 70. Mr. Razee was born Feb. 6, 1927 in Phoenix. He was a life long resident of Arizona. Mr. Razee worked at the Gold Nugget restaurant in Wickenburg for the past 22 years. The prior 14 years before that he worked at the Wickenburg Inn as a beverage manager. He worked the bar plus cookouts and parties. In 1946, after being discharged from the U.S. Navy, he drove a truck for a meat company in California, and another hauling general freight. He boxed for several years and became a Golden Gloves Boxer. Mr. Razee served almost three years in the Navy during World War II from July 1943 to March 1946, and was discharged with the rank of Motor Machinist Mate, Second Class. He received a ribbon and four stars for service in the Asiatic-Pacific Area, and the American Area, Philippine Liberation, and the Victory Medal of WWII. Survivors include his daughters, Bobbie Perez of Fayetteville, Ark., Billie Joe Appleton of Boring, Ore., and Donna Lee Sanders of Piggot, Ark; sister Maxine Carter of Tucson; brother Leon Razee of Prescott, step-children Tony Settle of Florida, Corbie Ann Alt of Yearnell and Lorraine Osario of Californina; grandchildren Justin Sanders of Piggot, Danielle Appleton of Boring, Traci Mabe of Wickenburg and Scott Anderson of Wickenburg; sister-in-law and husband Pat and Jim Fisher in Congress.
