Carmen L. Ruiz died Sunday, Nov. 5, Hospice of the Valley in Tempe. Carmen was born Feb. 3, 1925, in Jerome. She resided her entire life in Arizona and still has many friends and family in the Verde Valley.

Carmen is survived by two daughters, Rose Canez of Glendale, and Olivia Kelley of Chandler, along with nine grandchildren, 17 great-grand children and four great-great-grand children. 

A Memorial Mass will be held at St Andrews Catholic Church, 3450 West Ray Road, Chandler, Friday, Nov. 17, 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Hospice of the Valley.
