The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ July 2, 1997 Edwards W. Thies of Morristown died June 30 in Rickreal, Ore. He was 90. Mr. Thies was born Jan. 25, 1907 in Howard Township, Iowa. He had lived in Arizona for the past 20 years, coming from Michigan. Survivors include three daughters, Ruth Potrafka of Phoenix, Julie Wallace of Rickreal, and Mary Meredith of Phoenix; two sons, Carl Thies of Belton, Texas and John Thies of Phoenix; a brother, Leonard, and sister, Helen both of Michigan; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
