Genevieve Louise Jobski of Aguila died Aug. 31 in Henderson, Nev. She was 75.
Mrs. Jobski was born Aug. 12, 1922 in Las Vegas, Nev. She had lived in Arizona for the past 40 years.
Mrs. Jobski and her husband John, who survives her, were married in Wickenburg in 1942 and were long-time residents of Wickenburg and Aguila. They recently celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary.
Mrs. Jobski has been a ranch hand and ranch cook on ranches in Arizona and Nevada before moving to Aguila in September of 1957. She drove the Aguila school bus for 11 years.
She also was a licensed paramedic and was instrumental in establishing the Aguila ambulance.
Mrs. Jobski was active for many years in the Aguila Women’s Club and was an active member of the Vicksburg, Salome, Wenden (ViSaWen) Women’s Club.
She was a living wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed dearly by those who love her.
In addition to her husband of 55 years, she is survived by her daughter Janet Kennedy of Henderson, Nev., sons John Jobski, Jr. of Hope, jerry Jobski of South Lake Tahoe, Calif., and Glenn Jobski of Flagstaff; sisters, Shirley Stanley and Lois Daniels; a brother, Howard Glenn; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son Jim in 1971.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept 5 at the Wickenburg Funeral Home, with Pastor Paul Goulet officiating. Graveside services will follow at the Wickenburg Municipal Cemetery.
