Copper Basin News Hayden, Az. 4/9/2011 Former Kearny resident Patricia G. Seater, 90, passed away peacefully Monday, March 28, 2011, at Villa Maria Care Center in Tucson where she had lived for the past four years. She was born in Crested Butte, Colorado, on July 22, 1920 to John and Annie Vernon Goffredi. She was raised in Colorado and attended business college there. She was employed by John W. Galbreath and Company for 50 years as a town manager in Utah and Arizona, including Kearny. She was a lifetime member of Alpha Iota Sorority and had served as President of the Kearny Chamber of Commerce where she helped with many community activities. She was also choir director at Infant Jesus of Prague Catholic Church where she helped with burro sales and preparing the church for the Christmas and Our Lady of Guadalupe celebrations. She loved to sew and was known for her gardening successes. She was preceded in death by her son, John Waring, and three husbands, Don Waring, William Hunter and John D. Seater Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Donna (Brian) Markey of Olathe, Kansas and her family: Leighton (Brooke) Markey and son Leo; Leah Markey, all of Kansas; Abilene (Josh) Cochran and children, Eve and Benjamin, and Toby (Megan) Markey and children Andreas and Lucia, all of Oklahoma. She is also survived by her daughter–in-law Jan Waring and her daughter Brittny (Brian) Lewton and children Alexis and Tristan, all of Colorado. She leaves behind her brother, Alfred (Laura) Goffredi of Colorado; and her step children; Gayle (James) Carnes of Kearny, and her sons, Kevin of Apache Junction and Michael (Jennifer) and daughter Lauren of San Manuel; Rick (Jean) Seater, and children David and Brian, all of Washington. Services will be Friday, April 8, at Infant Jesus of Prague Catholic Church in Kearny with Father James Aboyi officiating. There will a viewing at 10 a.m., followed by the Rosary at 10:30 a.m. and the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Following a luncheon at the church, graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. at Holy Hope Cemetery in Tucson that afternoon. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Pat’s memory to Villa Maria Chapel Foundation, 4310 East Grant Road, Tucson, Arizona 85714.
