BRACKNEY, Thelma

The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ October 1, 1997 Thelma Hawkins Brackney of Mesa, and a former longtime Wickenburg resident, died Sept. 23 in Mesa. She was 89. Mrs. Brackney was born Jan. 26, 1908 in Seattle, Wash. She had lived in Arizona for the past 45 years. Survivors include her husband, Edward Brackney of Mesa; sister Alice Mitchell of Elderwood, Calif. and Dorothy Deane of Chico, Calif.; son Robert Brackney of Mesa; daughter Betty Joyce Brown of Riverside, Calif.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services have been held.
