The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ October 22, 1997 Marsena L. Gerlach of Wickenburg, died Oct. 21 in Sun City. She was 73. Mrs. Gerlach was born June. 22, 1924 in Chicago, Ill. The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ October 29, 1997 Marsena L. Gerlach of Wickenburg, died Oct. 21 in Sun City. She was 73. Mrs. Gerlach was born June 22, 1924 in Chicago, Ill. She had lived in Arizona for the past 17 years. Mrs. Gerlach graduated from the University of Iowa, where she was a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority and played in the Scottish Bagpipe band. Moving to Arizona in 1980, she loved riding her horse from her home in the Sonoran Desert, as well as extensive traveling throughout her life. Mrs. Gerlach was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Wickenburg, the Sun City Kappa Alpha Theta Chapter and the Daughters of the American Revolution. Survivors include her husband J. Guilford Gerlach of Wickenburg, daughter Lynn M. Gerlach of Bimiji, Minn.; and sister Carolyn Reitter of Lake St. Louis, Mo. Funeral services were held Friday, Oct. 24 at 3 p.m. at the Wickenburg Cemetery, with Rev. James Longstreet officiating.
