Ruth I. Bastian, of Wickenburg, died Nov. 7 in Peoria. She was 81.

Mrs. Bastian was born in 1916 in Miles City, Mont. She was a longtime resident of Wickenburg, working as a baker and cook at Rancho de los Caballeros and Kay El Bar Ranch.

Survivors include two daughters, Lorraine Davis of Glendale, and Rosalee Richardson of Dillon, Mont; a brother, Irion Spencer of Kingman; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. today (Wednesday) at the First Presbyterian Church of Wickenburg. Pastor Jim Longstreet will officiate.
