John F. Jobski, Sr. of Aguila, died Dec. 26 in Henderson, Nev. He was 82.
Mr. Jobski was born Feb. 6, 1915 in Bent County, Colo. He had lived in Arizona for the past 40 years.
Mr. Jobski was the longtime owner and operator of Jobski’s Rock Garage, a familiar business landmark in Aguila.
Survivors include his daughter, Janet Kennedy of Henderson, Nev.; sons John Jobski, Jr. of Hope City, jerry Jobski of South Lake Tahoe, Nev., and Glenn Jobski of Flagstaff; brother Carl Jobski of Denver, Colo.; sisters Mary Winn of Los Angeles, Calif. and Pauline Keefover of Denver; granchildren David Jobski of Hope City, John and Kayla Kennedy of Henderson and James and Tylerr Jobski of Flagstaff; and great-grandchildren Jessica and Crystal Jobski of Hope City.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Genevieve, and a son, Jim.
Services have been held.

Mr. Jobski was born Feb. 6, 1915 in Bent County, Colo. He had lived in Arizona for the past 40 years.
Mr. Jobski was the longtime owner and operator of Jobski’s Rock Garage, a familiar business landmark in Aguila.
Mr. Jobski worked as a young man on a number of different ranches in Arizona and Nevada. From 1957 until he retired in 1988, he operated a Union 76 service station in Aguila.
John came from a large family fo five sons and five daughter. His mother and father immigrated to the United States from German in 1906.
He was married for 55 years to Genevieve Jobski (Glenn).They were married in Wickenburg in 1942.
His wife Genevieve preceded him in death, having passed away Aug. 31, 1997.
God Bless Grandpa Jobski, the “Old Cowboy” will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 30 at 1 p.m. at the Wickenburg Funeral Home Chapel, with pastor Paul Goulett officiating. Interment is at the Wickenburg Cemetery.
Brown’s Wickenburg Funeral Home handled all the arrangements.
