Visitation will be at 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 7, 2011, at Dimond & Sons Needles Mortuary, 222 E. St., Needles, Calif. Rosary will be at 9:30 a.m. on Friday April 8, 2011, at St. Ann's Catholic Church, 218 D Street, Needles, Calif. A mass immediately will follow at 10:00 a.m., also at St. Ann's Catholic Church. Interment will be at Needles Riverview Cemetery. ___________________________________ Needles Desert Star, Needles, CA - Monday, April 4, 2011 - Crash claims lives from three generations of local family NEEDLES - Members from three generations of a local family, males 52, 30 and 10 years old, were killed in a single-vehicle traffic collision on River Road east of Shore Street on March 30. The trio was traveling east on River Road approaching the intersection of Shore Street. For unknown reasons the driver, age 52, lost control of the vehicle and went off the paved road and onto the north dirt shoulder of River Road. The vehicle hit a large rock and several trees. The force of the impact killed all three immediately. An investigation is ongoing. Any witnesses to the collision are urged to contact Deputy James Snow or Corporal Mark Bracco at 760-326-9200.
