MCFADDEN, Marietta

The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Monday, April 11, 2011 Marietta McFadden was born April 7, 1929, in Springfield, Mo., and went to her heavenly Father on April 5, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert McFadden (2000). The family moved to Prescott Valley in 1971. She is survived by her brother, Dave (Betty) Hargis of Kirkwood, Mo.; five children, Robert (Mary) of Tempe, Ariz.; George (Carol) of Prescott; Melissa (Joseph) Culp of Chino Valley; Andrew (Denise) of Prescott Valley and Jeanette of Prescott Valley; her 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Marietta's gentle, kind soul drew people to her. She was quick to laugh and never to complain. She loved to travel with her husband, and visited most of the United States by R.V. She loved cooking, watching baseball, fishing, playing video poker and was an avid Scrabble player. She was beloved by her family and will be greatly missed. The family would like to send their appreciation to the staff at Eastman Assisted Living. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of the Pines, Dewey, Ariz. Funeral services will be at Sunrise Funeral Home in Prescott Valley, Ariz., on Saturday April 16, 2011, at 10 a.m. Open House will follow service. Information provided by survivors.
