MONROY, Tony G. (Sancudo)

Tucson Daily Star Tucson, Arizona 4/13/2011 MONROY, Tony G., "Sancudo," 70, passed away in Tucson, AZ on Saturday, April 9, 2011. He was born in Tucson, December 26, 1940, Mr. Monroy was a heavy equipment operator at the Christmas Copper Mine from 1966 to 1982. He was a person who loved life, joking with people to make them laugh and being so very kind that friends for him were many. Three sons survive, Robert (Kim) of Dripping Springs, Felix (Stephanie) and Brandon (Jessica), both of Hayden. There also remain four sisters and three brothers, Carol Moreno, Melissa and Monique Monroy, Frances Grijalva with Henry Grijalva, David and Henry Monroy, each of Tucson. There are 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Predeceased are Tony's parents, Roberto and Maria Monroy. Private family services to be held. GRIFFITH MORTUARY assisted the family.
