DAMME, M. W. (Bill)

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Saturday, July 5, 2003 M.W. "Bill" Damme, age 85, of Mesa, AZ passed away on July 2, 2003 in Mesa. He was born May 9, 1918 in Lusk, Wyoming and was the owner of a plumbing and heating business in Tilden, Nebraska before moving to Arizona in 1959. In 1981 he retired from Motorola. During World War II, Bill was a member of the Seabees. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 5, at Melcher's Chapel of the Roses, 43 S. Stapley Dr., Mesa. Survivors include his wife, Lucille; daughter, Kathryn (C.B.) Ohlhausen; sons, Jim (Bonna) Damme and Bill (Claudette) Damme; sisters, Emma Fisher and Phyllis Hemenway; 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers & one sister. Memorials are suggested in Bill's memory to the American Heart Assoc. 2929 S. 48th St., Tempe, AZ 85282.
